Team Fortress 2 Pyro Weapons

I can't decide whether to use the Backburner or the normal gun wir the air alternative fire. There both great and have its pros and cons. The same thing with the Shotgun and Flare gun. Yesterday, I killed a sniper on Orange X 3 with the flare gun From the Tower to the corner of there second point.

Personally, since this air shot thing is kinda new, and I rarely ever use it, I view the new Backburner as a free 50 (or is it 75) health and automatic crits from behind. I also whore the regular shotgun, so I'm going with the original shotgun and the Backburner. Yeah the flare gun sets enemies aflame from a great distance, but it doesn't seem to do any extra damage beyond that. Also the flares move at rocket speed and are very visible, thus making them extremely easy to dodge. Your call though. I still haven't unlocked any of them yet. Been playing WoW T_T

Now the back burner doesn't add the extra health!!!


Back to the regular gun for me. That air blast is real useful for fighting demos and soldiers. I also use it to push away ubered people.

Have you mastered the reflecting soldier's rocket tech? The demomans pipe bombs are easy to deflect but I reflect the rockets maybe at a 30% chance. Oh, and I pushing players off the roof of Orange X3 is great because I burn them, air them off, and they take the damage on the ground and eventually die. Twisted Evil

Also I occasionally use the backburner when the other team is trying the top point on orange X3.
