Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection

If you haven't heard, an HD collection of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and Ultimate 3 are being bundled together for a 360/PS3 release at some point in the future, this holiday at the earliest. Before you go writing it off as just a collection of old games, know that they're going all out for an HD presentation. How far out?

They're hiring actors and redoing all the characters to make them look as good as humanly possible. (That last sentence is a link to an article with more info. This layout really needs fixing.)

I was sort of interested in this before hearing that, but now I'm really stoked to see how this turns out.

Well, it looks like the HD Kollection was canned, but this is a pretty sweet consolation prize.

A release date has been announced, and it turns out that it's only a week from today for the previously announced price of ten bucks!

Admittedly this had kinda fallen off the radar for me, but the thought of getting to play these klassics online with my MK stick in the very near future has me psyched about it all over again.
